*Confirmed several ports on the back of the Comcast modem were not working. Suggested client contact Comcast to get a new box installed.
*ADT Camera System- Was working after work completed Sunday, all systems on the ADT device were green and appeared operational while technician was on site Monday. NHT offered to go back to the site location, call ADT while on site, and get the cameras connected.
*Stereo Entertainment System. – This is a three-part system-
- J-Tech Digital Box- What it is: A commercial-grade HDMI routing and processing device (such as a matrix switch or a multiviewer). It takes inputs from devices like cable boxes, Apple TVs, or gaming consoles and sends them to one or more displays. What it does: It acts as the traffic cop for your video signals, allowing you to seamlessly switch between sources, display multiple sources on a single screen (multiview), or stretch an image across multiple TVs (video walls).
- Control4 Box- What it is: The “brains” of your smart home automation. Control4 controllers (like the Core 1 or CORE 3) manage your entire home—not just the TVs, but also lighting, thermostats, and security. What it does: It provides a beautiful on-screen navigator on your TV. Instead of juggling multiple remotes, you use a Control4 remote or app to trigger actions. When you press “Watch Apple TV” on a Control4 remote, the system automatically turns on the TV, switches the J-Tech Digital box to the right port, and sets up your sound system.
- Episode OvrC (OvrC) Device- What it is: OvrC (pronounced over-see) is a remote management platform widely used in professionally installed AV systems. An Episode device (such as a multi-zone audio amplifier or a network-connected power conditioner) has this OvrC technology built in. What it does: It allows your home technology professional to monitor your system, manage power, and run diagnostics without rolling a truck to your house. If a device freezes, OvrC allows them to perform a hard reboot or update firmware remotely.
- Client does have a support contact for this system. NHT offered to go back to the site location, call the necessary party while on site, and get the Stereo Entertainment System Connected.
